Sneaker Freaker x atmos x Asics Gel-Lyte III Alley Cats

From the streets of Tokyo, Japan to Melbourne, Australia, stray alley cats are a common sight to see. Both cities are also home to two of the sneaker industries biggest powerhouses, atmos Tokyo and Sneaker Freaker, respectively. Another thing these two have in common, working with Asics on hit collaborations throughout their histories. To honor the felines that roam the streets of each brand's respective hometown, the latest Sneaker Freaker x atmos x Asics Gel-Lyte III is here.

An array of materials dress the upper of this feline-focused footwear, including faux fur, suede, and satin. Around the toe and heel, a grey suede sits thanks to the mudguard, toebox, and the “Gel-Lyte III,” Asics, atmos, and Sneaker Freaker branded heel overlay. The eyestays, collar, and tongue take on a purple suede and satin combo, accented by metal and plastic eyelets. Working along the profile, a black plastic netting sits below the white GITD Asics lattice logo and between more purple suede overlays. Just below this, faux fur makes an appearance in an off-white shade, also present back on the heel tab. Underfoot, a Gel-Lyte cushioned midsole comes in a two-tone mix of white and purple. Rounding everything out is the tri-tone rubber outsole coming in white, black, and neon green.

The Sneaker Freaker x atmos x Asics Gel-Lyte III Alley Cats is set to release on June 18th, 2022 through Sneaker Freaker online and select atmos Japan locations. On June 25th, Asics and atmos will carry the release online, as well as a wider release set for the near future. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
