The adidas GT Tokyo is the fusion of an original Sneakersnstuff designed adidas model with an archival touch that celebrates the European retailer’s Japan location. Starting with the white and purple insole, a printed map of Tokyo displaying parts of Koto City near the water, and a section of Tokyo that contains the Imperial palace. There isn’t a clear indicator of where Sneakersnstuff’s Tokyo location is, but it would be either on the lateral edge or just outside of the section of the map printed on the left insole. Gold adidas branding is printed where the heel of the sneaker meets the heel of the foot.
The hairy purple suede upper is based on the Sneakersnstuff original adidas Stockholm GT silhouette, with three strips of white leather making up the parallel lines of the Three Stripes branding on the upper, while the tonal heel tab is a smooth, buttery purple leather. Gold “SNS GT” detailing can be seen sitting parallel next to the third stripe. On the purple tongue tag, additional gold accents are stacked above “The brand with the three stripes” in a circular design, the top half in German, and the bottom half in English. Making this a truly unique, apart from the rest of the SNS GT models, the GT Tokyo features a slightly transparent light brown gum outsole that’s found on the adidas Handball Spezial model.
