The adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball II Putty Beige Pack Releases March 2025

Jerry Lorenzo’s third pillar in his Fear of God brand, the Fear of God Athletics line in partnership with adidas, had been mired by internal conflicts and delays that caused the first products from the project to hit shelves three years after inking a deal. Since the initial launch in December 2023, the line has disappointed fans, with many of the releases hitting sales racks and failing to generate the hype that adidas had expected from Lorenzo. However, they’re still pushing forward, recently launching the adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball II in December, with two new renditions dropping next month.

After failing to fulfill their promise of delivering a performance basketball sneaker with the launch of the adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball I, the Basketball II upgrades the performance features to make it a viable option on the court. Two variants are available, one in a high-top cut and the other low-top, featuring the same internal performance features. The sneakers come with a premium suede upper in a putty beige shade and have an inner bootie for a form-fitting feel.

A monofilament Three Stripe cutout on the midfoot, inspired by the adidas Sobakov, extends back to the adidas-branded TPU heel counter, adding breathability to the model. On the low-top version, the collar is exposed, as is the mesh tongue, while the high-top version adds a lockdown strap that covers the ankle for added support. Inside the creamy rubber midsole is a full-length Lightstrike foam partially exposed on the medial side. Final details include a Fear of God-branded bar on the back of the midsole and a grippy rubber outsole.

The adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball II Putty Beige Pack will release on March 1, 2025, through adidas, Fear of God, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $180 for the low-top and $200 for the high-top.
