The SFTM x adidas Spring 2025 Collection Releases March 2025

Australian-based fashion label Song for the Mute (SFTM) has teamed up with adidas on a seasonal basis since October 2022. Over two-plus years, we’ve seen four different drops from the duo, with a fifth collaborative effort landing in early 2025. As part of this new SFTM x adidas collection, the adidas Superstar 82 and Adistar Cushion are the silhouettes of choice.

Tackling two different colorways of the Superstar 82 and one colorway of the Adistar Cushion, Song for the Mute applies neutral tones to the Superstar, one in Black and the other in White. Both pairs were previewed during Paris Fashion Week in June 2024, with the retail version coming to us this year featuring slightly reworked construction. Now, the model comes with a fuzzy suede finish on most of its paneling instead of the flat suede upset on the samples.

Both Superstars feature SFTM-005 branding attached via an added tag on the lateral heel and black hits on the Three Stripes and heel tab. Additional SFTM branding details include the co-branded tongue tag and the right shoe’s insole. Underfoot, each pair comes with a tonal midsole and outsole combo.

For the Adistar Cushion, a silhouette that the brand worked on in September 2024, we see a mixture of mesh, suede, faux pony hair, and leather across the mid-2000s runner. Tonal black hues envelop most of the sneaker, accented by pops of cream white on the toe cap, SFTM branding along the midfoot, and tongue and heel portions. Down below, the adiPRENE+ midsole has a grey finish, while the outsole below comes in a sleek black.

The SFTM x adidas Spring 2025 Collection will release in March 2025 through adidas, SFTM, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
