Founded in 2016, the Beijing-based fashion label SOULGOODS is beginning to live its mantra of “From Bejing To The World” through a slew of collaborations with companies outside of the Greater China region. The biggest one of these collaborators, Nike, has already given them a chance to work on the Nike SB Dunk High, though it seems a similar silhouette is up next with the Nike Sportswear version of the Dunk High.
Covered mostly in grey, the model gets accenting hits of black throughout its multi-material makeup. Along the toebox sits black canvas which comes accented by grey leather panels along the mudguard and eyestays. This same color makes up the lace set while the tongue itself comes in a slightly lighter grey shade. Atop the tongue, a black and grey checkerboard pattern features a co-branded logo between Nike and SOULGOODS, both labels' most infamous logos. Mesh material makes up the quarter panel and continues the grey color palette while the leather Nike Swoosh running back switches back to black, matching the collar and heel portion. Our final hits of branding come via the split “SOULGOODS” text along the heel and the labels dragonhead logo on the insole while the entire design is rounded out by a sail midsole and grey rubber outsole.
The SOULGOODS x Nike Dunk High Grey is set to release in 2023 through Nike, SOULGOODS, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBD.
