South2 West8 Collabs With On Running On The Cloudway Silhouette

One brand that focus’ heavily on technical performance over its “hype” in the footwear industry, On Running, has dabbled in the world of collaborations from time to time through their biggest endorsee, Roger Federer, via a Ronnie Fieg makeover as well as through the Boston-based boutique Bodega. For their latest linkup, On Running is looking across the ocean to Japanese-based fashion house South2 West8 to bring its traditional Japanese fishing-inspired design language to the On Cloudway model.

Across the recycled knit upper sits a majority black thread with an intricate pattern weaved throughout in an accenting green hue, almost appearing like a tapestry. This starts down on the toebox and wraps around the midfoot back towards the On Running logo located near the heel. For laces, a bungee pull system is utilized and comes dressed in a two-tone shade of black and white while the nylon pull tab it sits atop spells out South2 West8. Working back down near the sole, a suede panel rides the edges and comes attached via thick black stitching details. Underfoot you’ll find a CloudTec cushioning system in black and a 3D traction pattern on the outsole that comes inspired by the Engadin Valley in Switzerland also in a black hue.

The South2 West8 x On Cloudway is set to release on December 2nd, 2022 through On Running and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $165.
