Sporty & Rich x adidas Handball Spezial Collection

Emily Oberg’s Sporty & Rich label has cultivated a prosperous relationship with adidas as the duo comes together multiple times a year to rework classic adidas models. The last time we saw a Sporty & Rich x adidas release was back in November when the SL 72 was the model of choice, and before this, the Olympics helped inform a three-pack of sneakers. Now, the duo are revisiting the Handball Spezial silhouette, a model they worked on in May last year.

For this new trio of Handball Spezials, we see a muted color palette applied: one in Night Indigo, another in Dark Green, and finally, a pair in Shadow Red. Each comes with a premium suede finish on the paneling, with the titular hue covering the T-toe overlay, vamp, midfoot, tongue, and heel. White accents appear on all three sneakers, hitting the lace set, Sporty & Rich tongue tag, Three Stripes on the midfoot, and the leather panel on the heel.

Sporty & Rich x adidas Handball Spezial Night Indigo

Another hit of Sporty & Rich branding is found on the midfoot, finished in a gold metallic foil that replaces the Handball text, while the leather insole comes with gold adidas and Sporty & Rich branding. Final details on the upper include adidas branding on the heel tab and white contrast stitching on the various panels. Finishing the design is the semi-translucent gum rubber midsole and outsole.

The Sporty & Rich x adidas Handball Spezial Spring 2025 Collection will release in the coming months through Sporty & Rich, adidas, and select retailers online and in-store.
