One of the pioneers of streetwear, Supreme has made waves throughout the fashion world with collaborations left and right throughout each season over the last 10-plus years. When it comes to its take on footwear, the NYC-based label most famously links up with Nike year-in-year-out, though they’ll venture into endeavors with other footwear brands. One of these, Vans, shares the same skateboarding mentality Supreme was founded on. Previously working together on a variety of releases, including the scrapped bullet hole-covered Skate Grosso Mid, the two have come together to add some bling to four colorways of the Vans Old Skools with the help of Swavorski.
Seen in four colorways, black/white, red/white, purple/white, and brown/white, the sneakers maintain its usual shape and design with the addition of a checkerboard pattern along the profile of the upper. Along the toe, tongue, eyestays, and heel overlay sits a singular shade on each colorway, made up of suede (sans the mesh tongue). Tonal laces match the primary color of the upper while the checkerboard pattern features Swavorski crystals bedazzled atop the primary colored squares. When it comes to branding, you know Supreme has to make its mark, appearing via an embroidery on the heel. Vans tabs along the eyestays and their iconic logo on the heel finish the branding details while the entire design is rounded out by the white vulcanized midsole and gum rubber outsole.
The Supreme x Swavorski Vans Pack is set to release on October 20th, 2022 through exclusively through Supreme online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
