MLB All-Star festivities are almost upon us, with various events, like the MLB Draft, Celebrity Softball Game, and Home Run Derby, taking place before the All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 16. Before these events take place, images of an adidas Adizero Impact+ Cleat in collaboration with jeweler Swarovski have emerged.
The Swarovski x adidas Adizero Impact+ Light Purple cleat is a showstopper. The upper features a base of light purple, but what truly sets it apart are the hundreds of Swarovski crystals meticulously placed across various parts of the cleat. These crystals adorn the toebox, edge of the upper, heel, Three Stripes, and collar portions, giving the cleat a luxurious and sparkling finish. The midfoot features durable ripstop nylon, the overlays are crafted from suede, and the tongue and collar are made from neoprene for added comfort and flexibility. Additional crystals can be found on the pull tab, ensuring this cleat shines from every angle.
Underfoot, the cleat has a gradient Lightstrike Pro-cushioned midsole that transitions from white at the toe to purple at the heel, providing both aesthetic appeal and responsive cushioning. The cleated outsole boasts an iridescent finish, adding to the overall eye-catching design and offering superior field traction.
Following the initial look back in July, adidas officially has announced the pair. The Three Stripes is teaming up with Seattle Mariners superstar Julio Rodriguez to debut the cleats on September 17 and 18 in-game when the Mariners take on the Yankees in Seattle.
The Swarovski x adidas Adizero Impact+ Light Purple was originally slated to drop on July 16, 2024. However, the release has been pushed back to September 17. The pair will be available exclusively via adidas online for $440 and is limited to just 44 pairs to honor Julio Rodriguez and other MLB legends like Hank Aaron who also sported this number.
