While basketball has been forever tied to The Swoosh, the Beaverton-based sportswear giant still has its hand in every sport. As of late, we’ve seen Nike’s Social F.C. (a series of releases that seem to celebrate the FIFA World Cup) cover a range of classic Nike Sportswear silhouettes, though it seems a fictional soccer squad is getting the spotlight in the near future. Bringing us clothing that comes clad in branding of the Apple TV hit series “Ted Lasso” and its team AFC Richmond, the Ted Lasso x Nike Collection is on the way.
A selection of staple clothing pieces, including hoodies, crewnecks, and tees, come in colors matching AFC Richmond’s kit colors (Dark Grey Heather, Royal Blue, and Safety Orange). For the tees, Nike keeps things simple and gives the ladies a large AFC Richmond logo along with Nike co-branding in the form of a Swoosh while the guys have multiple options to choose from. Included in this are a “BANTR” branded shirt, a dating app in the series that sponsors the team, and a Nike Swoosh tee that features “TL” and AFC Richmond text. For the crewnecks and hoodies, The Swoosh’s logo and AFC Richmond’s crest are featured prominently in the front, rounding out this 13-piece clothing collection.
The Ted Lasso x Nike Collection is set to release on March 14th, 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing for the crewnecks, hoodies, and two tees, they range between $35 and $65 while a single t-shirt, priced at $35, will be in women’s sizing.
