In a nod to this storied history, adidas has once again joined forces with TMNT for a unique sneaker collaboration that pays homage to one of the franchise's most revered characters, Master Splinter. This collaboration follows the success of the Superstar Shelltoe series, which previously celebrated the iconic turtle quartet of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x adidas Superstar Master Splinter sneaker embodies the wisdom and serene strength of the turtles' sensei. Crafted on the Superstar Shelltoe silhouette, the sneaker features a playful nod to the turtles with its turtle shell detail on the toe. The design is further enriched with shaggy suede materials that evoke the texture of Master Splinter's fur, applied to the midfoot, tongue, and eyestays, encapsulating his essence in every stitch. Gold accents adorn the lace dubrae, representing the ninja star wielded by Splinter in the series and the Hamato Clan symbol. At the same time, the tongue tag combines adidas branding with Japanese characters, underlined by a turtle shell logo as a mark of this special union. Special attention is given to the insole, which hosts a fusion of TMNT and adidas branding atop a bespoke graphic of Master Splinter. This meticulous design rests atop a classic white rubber midsole, contrasted by a black outsole.
