The Nike Air Foamposite One has been hot over the past few years. Limiting releases and dropping one colorway per season in coveted colorways like Eggplant and Anthracite seems to be the best practice to keep the Foamposite hype strong. Before we can get the grail Galaxy in February 2025, an all-new premium edition celebrating Tekken's 30th Anniversary (and the latest entry, Tekken 8) has emerged.
Tekken's collaborative Nike Air Foamposite One Fist references Kazuya Mishima, with his outfit directly translated on the sneaker. The upper features an iridescent Foamposite material across the design in armory navy. This material also has a faux croc skin texture across the Foamposite material, and we see black hues take over the leather eyestays, collar, and mesh tongue. Tekken logos are found on the left sneaker's tongue tag and the insole of the left sneaker, while the standard Penny logo is found on the rest of the branding locations. Underfoot sits a clear rubber outsole with a FIST logo surrounded by lightning. All this comes housed in one of the craziest packages from a Nike product in recent memory, as a slide-out box opens up to reveal artwork for the game and the shoes housed within.
Alongside this pair, a second colorway, which references Jin Kazama, is also on the way. The entire collaboration follows the theme of Tekken 8's storyline, Fist Meets Fate, which continues the saga of the Mishima and Kazama bloodlines.
The Tekken 8 x Nike Air Foamposite One Fist will release exclusively at Evo USA in Las Vegas via SNKRS on July 20, 2024. A Wider release is tentatively scheduled for September through Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, retail is set at $250.
