Across the pond in the UK, what originally started as a Facebook group for like-minded streetwear enthusiasts to share their passion has turned into a collective that is landing collaborations with brands they chase after. The Basement is now continuing its project with New Balance on the upcoming The Basement x New Balance 2002R "Moss Green."
Dressing the upper is a mixture of suede and leather in shades of green from toebox to heel with black hits coming along the mudguard and heel overlay. Tonal green laces work to the tongue window hosting the branding “BSMNT,” also seen in a shade of moss green. Stacked leather overlays appear gradient-like with the lower overlays coming in a lighter green shade while the ones above get darker and darker. N branding along the midfoot pops in a bright white with a vertical pattern of rectangles donning the right side. Back on the heel, a nylon pull-tab comes in the same tonal green found along with the laces and tongue. Underfoot, a black-on-black midsole and outsole combo complete the look.
The Basement x New Balance 2002R Moss Green is set to drop on June 26th, 2022 exclusively on bsmntstore.com. The pair is also set to restock on February 5th, 2023 in very limited quantities. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is $150. To stay updated on the latest from New Balance and their collaborators, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app.
