2024 is set to be the year of Jumpman Jack. Jack, aka Travis Scott, is preparing to release his first signature sneaker with Jordan Brand after many coveted collaborations. Entitled the Jordan Jumpman Jack, various iterations have been unveiled over the past six months. Originally slated for a Holiday 2023 release, the Jordan Jumpman Jack TR is confirmed to drop in Spring 2024. To the surprise of many, Travis Scott and Jordan Brand shock dropped the first colorway of the Jumpman Jack TR, coinciding with the 2024 Grammys.
The Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack TR Sail exclusively shock dropped via Scott's official website around 10:30 pm ET on Sunday, February 4, following his Grammy performance. Before the drop, a commercial aired introducing the sneaker, showing Travis Scott doing various activities in the shoe.
As for the sneakers themselves, the design seems to draw inspiration from previous Cactus Jack collabs both in terms of color and silhouette. A familiar mocha, sail, and white combo are present on the leather and canvas upper with the mid-cut silhouette featuring paneling that reminds us of a Dunk. Scott's iconic reverse Swoosh detail graces the lateral side while the Jumpman logo atop the tongue receives an update. The logo's head now comes with three lines, a hallmark feature of the Cactus Jack logo. On the heel, Cactus Jack's smiley face is embroidered with more red found via the insole's Jumpman logo. Rounding out the look is the white and gum midsole paired with a gum rubber outsole that features a "JACK" logo.
Packaging for the model sees co-branded Cactus Jack and Jumpman logos, extra laces, and a co-branded canvas tote bag.
