Travis Scott's collaborations with Jordan Brand have been a success as his takes on retro J’s garner astronomical prices on the resale market. Seeing this success, Jordan Brand bestowed Cactus Jack with his signature sneaker, the Jordan Jumpman Jack. First seen in late 2023 and showcased during his Circus Maximus tour, sneakerheads have highly anticipated the model, even if it garners mixed opinions for its design. While we eagerly await the retail debut of this exclusive line, a new Sail University Red variant has been revealed.
Travis Scott’s Jordan Jumpman Jack TR in Sail University Red features the mid-cut design seen on other colorways and comes with a similar material makeup. The sneaker is crafted with premium tumbled leather overlays in sail while university red suede hits the Swoosh. True to Travis Scott's signature style, the Swoosh is reversed on the lateral side, creating a distinctive and instantly recognizable look.
Additional pops of red are skillfully placed on the Jumpman logo on the tongue, which gets a small Cactus Jack makeover courtesy of the three lines added on top of the Jumpman’s head and the Cactus Jack smiley face on the heel tab. Below this sits a base layer constructed from black canvas, which provides a sturdy foundation and adds depth and texture to the overall design. This canvas is complemented by a white and cream rubber sole unit, offering a clean finish, while the outsole features "JACK" written in university red.
According to the packaging, the outsole text will wear away over time. As for the box itself, we see a brown box with the three lines from the Cactus Jack logo placed on the top and the "JACK" text on the sidewall. Inside, we also find a co-branded black dust bag.
The Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack TR Sail University Red will release May 10, 2024, exclusively through Travis Scott's website. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
