Imagination and creativity meet sneaker culture in the collaboration between NYC-based artist Tulie Yaito and adidas. This is Yaito's first collaboration with the sportswear giant, and it's a testament to the evolution of the iconic Forum 84 Hi, a silhouette that has been reimagined multiple times since its original debut in the '80s. This fresh spin follows the recent success of other Forum iterations, reinforcing adidas' ability to merge contemporary fashion with classic design successfully.
Yaito's adidas Forum 84 Hi, embraces an eclectic blend of materials with leather, faux fur, and suede appearing across the upper. The sneaker showcases white leather on the mudguard, eyestays, and certain midfoot sections, contrasted by faux fur on the toe box, collar, and quarter panel. The white fur toe box syncs with the surrounding neutral tones, while the lacing setup injects a bright yellow highlight. A double lockdown strap near the tongue features animal print faux fur matching the details on the collar and quarter panel. Nestled between these two fur panels is a red layer with "Tulie" debossed and adding a pop of color. Blue tumbled leather forms the Three Stripes at midfoot, leading to green suede on the heel to complete the upper's vivid composition. Underneath, a cream-colored midsole and grey outsole round off the design.
The Tulie Yaito x adidas Forum 84 Hi will release July 8 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women's sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
