Steph Curry's journey with Under Armour has been remarkable, with the Curry Brand name now boasting its 11th signature sneaker and a range of other models. In a nostalgic move, Curry revisits one of his earliest and most beloved models, the Under Armour Curry 1, bringing back the iconic Dub Nation colorway first released in 2015.
The reissue of the Under Armour Curry 1 Dub Nation stays true to its roots, replicating the original design that captivated fans. The sneaker features a durable synthetic upper in crisp white, accented with striking blue and yellow hues, a nod to the Golden State Warriors colors. The blue and yellow details extend to the Curry and Under Armour branding, adding a vibrant contrast. A notable feature on the tongue is the inscription "4:13," referencing the biblical verse Philippians 4:13, with part of this verse, "I can do all things," printed on the interior.
While the reissue honors the original's essence, it does introduce a subtle update. The sneaker's medial side replaces the "Dub Nation" text found on the 2015 release with "Curry One" branding, marking a slight deviation and a nod to the model's legacy. The sneaker's sole showcases a foam midsole with a blue gradient, blending deep blues at the heel into white towards the toe, creating an eye-catching transition. The design is completed with a yellow rubber outsole, ensuring durability and grip, suitable for on and off-court activities.
The Under Armour Curry 1 Dub Nation will release on December 15, 2023, through Under Armour and select retailers online and in-store. The retail price has yet to be announced. Stay up to date with this release and more by downloading the Sole Retriever mobile app.
