Steph Curry and Under Armour had a significant presence at NBA All-Star Weekend, dropping new colorways of the Curry 12 and launching PE renditions of previous Under Armour Curry sneakers. Now, Curry is introducing a colorway inspired by his rise to greatness during his college career.
Leading the Davidson Wildcats to an unprecedented run in the 2008 NCAA college basketball tournament, Curry’s performance sparked what eventually blossomed into one of the most legendary careers in the NBA. After making the Elite Eight during March Madness, his draft stock increased to the point where he became a lottery draft pick, which led to the Warriors picking Curry as the 7th overall pick. Since then, Steph has won four NBA Championships and two MVPs, made the All-Star team 11 times, and has an Olympic Gold Medal under his belt.

As for the sneaker itself, Under Armour translates this "spark" moment onto the Curry 12 with a bold red upper that is flooded in this hue to show how a spark can ignite a fire. These red hues dominate the mesh and neoprene portions of the upper, while we see hits of orange on the lace set, surrounding the black Curry logo on the tongue and the black pull tab on the heel. The shoe's main star is the TPU insert within the red UA Flow midsole, taking on an explosive graphic featuring orange flames and black smoke.
The Under Armour Curry 12 Spark is currently available for UA Loyalty members through Under Armour’s website. It will be released globally on March 7, 2025, through Under Armour and select retailers. Available in men’s and kids' sizing, the retail price is set at $140 (men), $100 (GS), and $90 (PS).
