After leaving Nike in 2013, Steph Curry was courted by Under Armour with big promises of becoming the face of the brand's basketball division, and sure enough, this is what he was given. Now signed to UA under a lifetime deal, the duo continues to release new models and retro old silhouettes in various forms, the latest of which has been seen in a pack in collaboration with “Sour Patch Kids” candy. Already appearing on the Under Armour Curry 10 and Curry 1 Low FlowTro, the latter’s high-top counterpart is joining in on this sour but sweet series.
Unlike the other two models in this pack, the Curry 1 Flowtro forgoes any graphics depicting the candy or its packaging, instead opting for a color scheme reminiscent of the flavors found within. Across the upper sits a volt green textile upper with a splatter print of red and more vibrant green shades, giving it a camo-like appearance. Sitting on the toe and heel are fused and TPU overlays respectively, both of which feature Steph Curry’s “30” branding and come in a vibrant green hue similar to that of the pattern on the upper. Contrasting these bright colors are the red hits found along the two-tone white/red lace set, sockliner, and the Under Armour logo found on the lateral side of the heel. Rounding out the design is the UA Flow midsole paired with a multi-color camo rubber outsole.
The Under Armour Curry 1 FlowTro Sour Patch Kids is set to release on November 11th, 2022 through Under Armour and select UA retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
