One of Japan’s most prolific fashion labels, Jun Takahashi’s Undercover, has brought its technical and unique design to a handful of Nike silhouettes over the years, including their triple collab with sacai on the LDV Waffle or the more recent Dunk High 85 Chaos Black. While their upcoming collab was first spotted last summer, official images have finally emerged of the Undercover x Nike Air Force 1 Low Gore-Tex "White."
Taking elements from old-school ACG models like the Air Revaderchi, the humble AF1 gets some technical additions through the aforementioned model's plastic heel counter and a neoprene internal bootie. White douses the entire Gore-Tex leather upper with the technologies name being present via the tag on the eyestay that hosts a set of white laces. Undercover adds their signature “Balance” and “Chaos” motifs via the metallic lace dubrae and on the co-branded circular branding on the neoprene bootie. More dual branding details can also be found on the insole and heel overlay. Rounding out the design is your standard AF1 midsole and outsole combo, both of which come in all-white.
The Undercover x Nike Air Force 1 Low Gore-Tex White is set to release in October 2022 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $165.
