The basketball world is full of accolades that help elevate a player's status in the professional realm of the sport, and the Gatorade Player of the Year award is one of the most prestigious. Previous winners include the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns, LeBron James, Paige Bueckers, and many more. To celebrate this year's class of 12 players, Gatorade has teamed up with LeBron James' media company, UNINTERRUPTED, to create two exclusive capsules of clothing and accessories.
The first capsule features a vintage-inspired track jacket and towel. The jacket is designed with co-branded logos from both UNINTERRUPTED and Gatorade, showcasing a sleek and nostalgic look that pays homage to the rich history of the award. The towel, featuring co-branded logos, adds a practical yet stylish touch to the collection.
The second capsule includes a t-shirt, snapback, and a Gx bottle. Each item in this pack proudly displays the co-branded UNINTERRUPTED and Gatorade logos. The t-shirt's back features a large co-branded logo, making a bold statement. The snapback complements the t-shirt with matching logos, and the Gx bottle rounds out the set, offering functionality and style.
In addition to these exclusive releases, UNINTERRUPTED and Gatorade have collaborated to host a roundtable discussion featuring past Gatorade Player of the Year winners Paige Bueckers and Karl-Anthony Towns. This discussion aims to inspire and celebrate the achievements of the current and future award recipients, adding an enriching dimension to the capsules.
The UNINTERRUPTED x Gatorade Capsule will release on July 12, 2024, exclusively via Gatorade Drop. The retail price is set at $125 for the jacket and towel capsule and $100 for the t-shirt, snapback, and Gx bottle.
