Surfacing in late 2021, Chris Gibbs and his Union LA imprint are gearing up for the release of a trio of Nike Cortez collaborations. With their Nike Dunk Low and Air Jordan 2 Retro capsules in the rear view mirror, the LA-based retailer looks to its Cali roots for inspiration on their latest collection.
Coming in grain, pink clay, dutch green, bicycle yellow, and blustery, this Union x Nike Cortez features a tan-based upper with suede overlays. Cut-out underlays in a canvas textile are seen in a stripe-like pattern. Pink Clay accents are found throughout, along with dutch green touching the lace dubraes and branding throughout. Co-branded cork insoles, Nike Crater foam sole, two extra sets of laces and custom packaging finish things off.
The Union x Nike Cortez Grain is set to release on June 21st, 2022 alongside the Union x Nike Cortez Black via Union Los Angeles. A global release via Nike and select retailers worldwide will follow on June 28th, 2022. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $130.
