Vanessa Bryant Shares New Purple Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE

Nike began this new year planning on paying homage to the legacy of Kobe Bryant through a series of sneaker releases under the Year of the Mamba Collection. Included in this are two Nike Kobe 5 Protros with Year of the Snake themes, one in Eggplant and the other in University Red, a retro of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite High Protro Masterpiece, and finally, a Nike Kobe 6 Protro All-Star 2.0 in Sail. While the public has a shot at all these pairs, Vanessa Bryant has taken to her Instagram to showcase a new exclusive colorway of the Kobe 6 Protro.

We’ve become accustomed to seeing some exclusives come from Vanessa’s Instagram account as she previously posted photos of a handful of different Kobe PEs in the first half of 2024, including a Job’s Not Finished Kobe 4, Leopard Print Kobe 8, Valentine’s Day Kobe 4, and a Valentine’s Day Kobe 8. For this new Lilac-shaded Kobe 6 Protro, the sneaker features an ombre effect that transitions from a deep purple shade on the top half of the upper down to a light lilac purple near the edge of the sole and upper. Contrasting these purple hues are hits of light blue along the painted Swoosh and the Kobe sheath logo on the tongue.

Back on the heel and the sockliner, we see a purple and light blue gingham pattern applied, contrasted by the solid purple tongue and the light purple semi-translucent TPU heel counter. Kobe’s signature on the heel continues the purple theme. Finishing the design is the light purple foam midsole and outsole. Currently, there is no confirmed theme for this exclusive colorway.

This new Nike Kobe 6 Protro Lilac PE will not be released publicly and will remain exclusive to Vanessa Bryant and perhaps some Nike athletes associated with Nike Kobe sneakers.
