Ishod Wair, renowned for his dynamic skateboarding style and unique taste in sneakers, introduced his latest signature model with Nike SB, the SB Air Max Ishod, which combines '90s basketball aesthetics with the durability and functionality needed for skateboarding. This model quickly gained attention for its innovative design and versatility. Adding to the anticipation, Verdy, the creative mind behind the influential streetwear brand Girls Don't Cry, teased a collaboration that infuses the SB Air Max Ishod with his iconic plushie character Visty, mirroring the aesthetic seen on the upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low Visty.
The eagerly awaited collaboration between Verdy and Nike SB showcases the SB Air Max Ishod Visty in a delightful array of pastel hues, featuring a mix of green, blue, and pink that perfectly encapsulates the whimsical nature of Verdy's design ethos. The upper is constructed from a soft blend of suede and nubuck, providing a premium feel and durability. Pink leather at the heel and a TPU Swoosh on the midfoot introduce a vibrant contrast, while green adorns the toe, eyestays, and midfoot for a harmonious balance.
Blue elements cover the mudguard, heel overlay, and tongue lace loops, adding depth and character to the design. The collaboration is marked by Verdy's signature branding on the tongue, encapsulating the partnership's creativity and streetwear influence. A vintage-inspired yellow and green midsole housing a drop-in Air unit offers superior comfort and support, while the tonal outsole completes the look.
The Verdy x Nike SB Air Max Ishod Visty will release September 20, 2024, through Nike SB-affiliated retailers, Girls Don't Cry, and via Nike SNKRS. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on this release, raffles, and more in the sneaker and streetwear sphere.
