Grace Wales Bonner has played a pivotal role in the resurgence of the adidas Samba, turning it into a highly coveted model through her label's collaborations. The partnership between Wales Bonner and adidas takes another step forward with the release of the Samba Studded Pack.
Featuring two colorways of the adidas Samba, each comes crafted with a full-leather construction that exudes simplicity and elegance. The color palette is straightforward yet impactful, with one pair in Cream White and the other in Core Black. What sets these sneakers apart is the meticulous addition of metallic gold studs along the adidas Three Stripes, adding a touch of luxury and distinctive flair. Further detailing includes additional white stitching along the edge of the heel tab and the folded tongue tag, which bears the adidas and Wales Bonner branding. Both sneakers are finished with a dark gum rubber sole unit, complementing the upper's premium aesthetic.
Although the official images do not reveal this, early in-hand photos showed the black pair will be numbered up to 750. It remains unconfirmed if the Cream White variant shares the same limited run or if each pair will be individually numbered.
The Wales Bonner x adidas Samba Studded Pack will release February 9, 2024, through adidas and potentially select retailers online and in-store.
