New York Fashion Week is underway, with top brands from across the globe flocking to NYC to showcase the latest collections and collaborations. Before the start of Fashion Week, Who Decides War teased us with the brand’s new partnership with Jordan Brand, which will help debut the all-new Jordan Flight Court. Alongside the pair featured during the fashion show, the label showcased some bespoke, customized Air Jordan 1 Highs that use the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High OG Rare Air White Deep Royal Blue as its base. Alongside this pair is a 1/150 pair of custom Denim AJ1 Highs.
Distressing the pair and adding quilted textile patterns, Who Decides War adds its distinct flair to the Rare Air AJ1 High. The deep royal blue panels on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel are worn down and almost wet, while the toebox and midfoot come with a quilted finish and extra embroidered details. These patterns comprise floral designs, patchwork canvas, and corduroy materials. The suede on the collar underlay remains untouched, while the white leather collar overlay featuring Nike Air branding comes distressed and scuffed up. Another major change is the Swoosh on the midfoot, which comes rubbed away to reveal a red layer below the black paint. Rounding out the look is the muslin midsole, which goes untouched on this bespoke pair, paired with a black outsole.
For the Denim AJ1, Who Decides War adds more stonewashed and distressing to the denim upper and adds its logo to the lateral heel. According to Ev Bravado, this pair is limited to 150, though it’s unknown if it will see a retail release or is just a friends and family custom.
Unfortunately, both Who Decides War x Air Jordan 1 Highs will not be released publicly. However, we can expect their Jordan Flight Court to launch later this year.
