In 2024, Jordan Brand paid homage to the league and its players through multiple player exclusive sneaker designs for the league’s top stars, including Dana Evans, Gabby Williams, and Satou Sabally. In addition, the brand launched the Air Jordan 3 TEX Camo in collaboration with the WNBA, coinciding with the WNBA All-Star Game. Continuing this All-Star tie-in, Jordan Brand will release a special edition Air Jordan 5 in Summer 2025. House of Heat and Elden Monitors first reported news of this release.
The WNBA x Air Jordan 5 Retro Metallic Gold Brilliant Orange boasts a striking metallic gold upper, covering the midfoot TPU cage, leather panels on the toe, midfoot, heel, and collar, and the netting along the tongue. The laces also feature the same golden shade, creating a cohesive and luxurious look. Adding contrast, brilliant orange accents—a nod to the WNBA's signature color—appear on the Jumpman logo and the shark teeth design on the midsole. The sneaker is expected to include WNBA branding on the insole and an additional hangtag representing the league. The design is finished with a sail midsole and a clear rubber outsole, providing style and performance on the court.
The WNBA x Air Jordan 5 Retro Metallic Gold Brilliant Orange W will release in Summer 2025 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store.
