Japanese streetwear label WTAPS, known for its military-inspired designs and collaborations, has partnered with Hoka to produce a new collection that merges streetwear aesthetics with performance footwear. WTAPS has a rich history of partnerships across the footwear industry, and this latest collaboration brings a fresh take on Hoka’s popular silhouettes. The WTAPS x Hoka collection includes:
- Two colorways.
- Each of the Hoka Ora Luxe and the Hoka Anacapa Low GTX.
- Offering Olive and Black versions of each model.
The WTAPS x Hoka Anacapa Low GTX features a mesh base with durable suede and TPU overlays, ensuring breathability and sturdiness. Reflective 3M panels line the midfoot and toe, adding a safety element for low-light conditions. Each panel integrates Gore-Tex technology, guaranteeing waterproof protection. Hoka's branding is prominently displayed, complemented by WTAPS logos on the vamp and insole. The sneaker has a white midsole for cushioning and a black rubber outsole for reliable traction.
The Hoka Ora Luxe in this collection has a foam base and a mesh forefoot strap enhanced by lockdown straps for a secure fit. WTAPS branding is subtly placed on the edge of the forefoot strap, maintaining the collection's minimalist design ethos.
The WTAPS x Hoka collection will release on May 24, 2024, through WTAPS online and in-store. The retail price is approximately $105 for the Hoka Ora Luxe and approximately $205 for the Anacapa Low GTX.
