Ewing Athletics is a brand synonymous with the New York Knicks legend and the streets of NYC. Since their return in 2012, the Ewing Athletics brand has consistently pushed out classic Patrick Ewing silhouettes in new and original colorways. Ten-plus years back in the game, Ewing Athletics shows no signs of slowing down or going away. With collabs dropping throughout 2023, this trend will continue in 2024, kicking off with the Yandel x Ewing Rogue in January.
Yandel, a Grammy Award-winning Latin music star from Puerto Rico, has applied his unique touch to the Ewing Rogue. Featuring an all-nubuck upper, grey covers the majority, accented by white. Scuba Blue accents via the branding on the straps and midsole give this pair almost a Nike Mag-like vibe. More grey is present on the midsoles with a paint splatter effect throughout. A full translucent scuba blue-tinted outsole completes the look.
Additional Yandel x Ewing Rogue details include reflective straps and a glow-in-the-dark outsole. Yandel's logo adorns the back heel, while the traditional Ewing script logo on the tongue is reimagined in the Encantadora singers font. The details continue. The custom, dual-branded box features an English and Spanish comic book narrating the story of this pair, printed on the inside of the lid. A Spanish language booklet is also included with the sneakers, wrapped in an all-over Puerto Rico flag-printed paper.
