Yeezy GAP Engineered By Balenciaga Offers Its First In-Store Shopping Experience At Times Square

Ye’s vision of bringing utilitarian clothing to the public at affordable prices truly began once he inked his deal with the GAP back in 2020. While it did take upwards of a year to get our first pieces, which ended up being a $200 puffer jacket and his “Perfect Hoodie” at a more reasonable $90, the affordability of its latest pieces is far from GAP prices. This is due to the added collaborator of Balenciaga which, since their introduction into the picture, has caused prices to inflate, though not as expensive as your typical Balenci item.
So far, every Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga release has been exclusive through their online storefront and through select retailers online, sans the early drop at his Donda 2 Listening Party, but now the public will get an opportunity to shop in-store for the latest collection by the trifecta. After an official Yeezy Instagram account appeared out of thin air, a cryptic commercial was posted just hours later alongside a press release stating that the first in-store shopping experience for the Yeezy GAP Balenciaga collection will take place on July 21st in Times Square. As the press release says, “GAP’s Times Square flagship store has been reengineered and distilled to its most essential form in Yeezy GAP Engineered by Balenciaga’s vision of utilitarian design.
After the instore shopping experience at Times Square went off without a hitch, a full store list was added to Yeezy GAP's website with approximately 50 GAP stores carrying products in store. It was also announced that vans will pop up in three major cities, listed below.

News of brand new pieces hasn’t been confirmed either but it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to see styles debut during this experience as the second half of the collection, as well as certain pieces shown in the most recent lookbook, has yet to release.
