The relationship between adidas and Ye's Yeezy brand had been tumultuous, culminating in the partnership's termination in October 2022 due to West's controversial remarks. This left adidas with over a billion dollars worth of Yeezy inventory. Initially, there were discussions about potentially writing off this stock. Still, adidas ultimately decided to sell the remaining products and donate a portion of the proceeds to organizations combatting hate speech and discrimination. CEO Bjørn Gulden recently announced that The Three Stripes still holds $215 million worth of Yeezy products during its Q1 2024 earnings report.
In June, adidas will offer a wide range of Yeezy styles to cater to various tastes. Among the anticipated releases are the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra and Red Stripe Knit RNR BT and Desert BT will also be available, appealing to fans of Yeezy's innovative chunky silhouettes. This will also mark the first time the Knit RNR BT and the NSTLD BT have restocked.
For those who appreciate the originals, the Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner and classic 350s, including the Turtledove and Pirate Black , are set to return. These models are celebrated for their pioneering design and significant cultural impact.
While the document does have nearly 50 different sneakers set to release, these are all subject to change, and adidas could remove/add styles in the coming weeks.
