São Paulo-based retailer, Your ID Store, is getting the opportunity to work with New Balance for their first collaborative project with the American company. Coming in a colorway inspired by ramen noodles is the Your ID Store x New Balance 327 “Lamén.”
The sneaker takes on shades just like a bowl of ramen you’d find in a noodle shop through its suede and leather construction. Around the mudguard and heel overlay, a hairy suede reminiscent of seaweed accents the tan perforated leather underlay that covers the majority of the sneaker. Along the tongue is a set of yellow flat laces that run through two orange suede eyestays, mimicking the hard-boiled eggs one often gets in a fresh bowl of ramen. On the uppermost eyestays, another common staple of the dish is portrayed through the pink suede kamaboko (aka steamed fish cake). Branding details throughout come split between both brands with the lace dubrae hosting “Your ID” text, the tongue tag coming with a graphic depicting a bowl of ramen alongside an NB logo, and the midfoot’s N getting a tan makeover. More ramen-inspired graphics make their way to the insole. Underfoot, a white midsole with neon green accents gets paired with the extended gum rubber outsole with a heavy-duty traction pattern.
The Your ID Store x New Balance 327 Lamén is set to release on July 30th, 2022 exclusively through Your ID Store online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
