Design collective and streetwear label Brain Dead has enjoyed working across the footwear industry, most famously heading Oakley’s experimental Factory Team sneaker project. However, 2024 marked the beginning of a new relationship with adidas, beginning with a friends-and-family release of two different bowling shoes that was quickly followed up by multiple Unstructured Stan Smith colorways. In 2025, the bowling shoe silhouette is returning, this time in a triple collaboration with renowned retailer Dover Street Market.
Just like the last two pairs of adidas Bowling Shoes by Brain Dead, this version takes after traditional formalwear and bowling sneakers you’d find in your local bowling alley. The upper is coated primarily in black leather, with white contrast stitching and a white heel tab that breaks the stealthy look. Golden branding for adidas and Dover Street Market finds a home on the lateral midfoot just below the collar, while Brain Dead reserves its logo for the heel tab.

The Three Stripes logos on the midfoot seamlessly blend with the upper, crafted in black leather, with the logo highlighted by white stitching details. More adidas branding is found on the insole, while swaps between the Trefoil logo and Brain Dead’s logo are on the left and right shoe, respectively. Finishing the sneaker is a wedge heel sole unit with a smooth outsole for use in the bowling alley.
The Brain Dead x Dover Street Market x adidas Bowling Shoe will release in Spring 2025 exclusively through Dover Street Market online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced, though expect it to hover around the $200 price point found on the original Brain Dead x adidas Bowling Shoe pack.
