Zion Williamson’s shaky NBA career parallels his signature line with Jordan Brand. His three signature models have felt lackluster after signing with JB before entering the NBA for a whopping $75 million. They often go on sale, aren’t a significant part of sneakerhead culture, and lack the energy in other signature lines. Still, the brand quietly began the rollout of the latest model, the Zion 4, with the Damascus Steel-inspired colorway and will follow this up with a Mud to Marble rendition.
This pair opts for a clean black upper across its engineered mesh and synthetic materials, lacking the eye-catching metallic silver look of the original. Fused TPU reinforcements on the toe help add durability to the sneaker, while the overlays on the upper swap out the leather construction for a neoprene-like material. Moving up the mesh tongue, we see a black lace set contrasting the Jumpman and Zion logos on the right and left shoe, as each logo has a minty green finish.
This same mint green is also applied to Zion’s logo on the heel, resting atop a panel featuring concentric circles. Cushioning is upgraded big time compared to the Zion 3, with this new model featuring a full-length Cushlon 3.0 drop-in midsole that sits atop a full-length parabolic Air Zoom strobel unit. Finishing the design is the mint green rubber midsole and the icy blue grippy rubber outsole featuring red Zion branding on the heel.
The Jordan Zion 4 Mud to Marble was released today, February 11, 2025, and is available now through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store.
