Nike takes vintage to the chemistry lab as the patterning of the upper to this Dunk is akin to the patterns found as refined metals corrode into stable oxides. Nicknamed the “Faded” edition, this pair features a uniquely colored patterning on the rough, hairy suede overlays that looks distressed, faded, and worn-in. The overlays around the toe rand and heel features spots and patches of yellow and red throughout, as the long-haired suede along the lace eyelets is splotched in blue. White smooth leather underlays on the toe box and quarter panels are then paired with a smooth pink leather Swoosh. A box-weave pattern found on the tongue and around the ankle collar adds a natural, yet refined, texture switch-up for the sneaker. The aged sail midsole sits atop a blue Nike Grind outsole speckled in multiple colors.
The Nike Dunk Low Faded Blue Pink is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Pricing and sizing is to be announced.
