Even 20-plus years into his NBA career, LeBron James still dominates the NBA. Since his first game in 2003, he’s taken the court in his signature sneakers with Nike, now onto the Nike LeBron 22. Its latest makeover, Frozen Grapes, recalls classic Nike LeBron motifs with its graphic pattern.
Coming with a split design on the upper, similar to the LeBron 22 Mogul, the left side of each sneaker takes on tumbled leather construction in white. In contrast, the right side takes on a metallic silver with purple graffiti print plastered across the panel. Words and phrases like “Future of the Game,” “Winning,” Witness,” and “Fear” recall the graffiti graphics found on the Nike LeBron 4 Graffiti, which, before its retro in 2023, was one of the rarest Nike LeBron releases. Accenting pops of hyper turquoise land on the nylon bungee cord that lines the Swoosh cut-out, reaching back to create the LeBron signature on the heel and the two-tone purple and hyper turquoise lace set.
More of this blue hue is present on the branding features along the tongue window and the middle of the midsole, the lateral side containing an iridescent Swoosh, and the medial hosting a “Bron” graffiti design. This reference to The King is also located on the insole, which takes on a purple hue. The purple midsole containing a Zoom Turbo unit, Zoom Air unit, Cushlon 2.0 foam, and the tonal purple rubber outsole rounds out the design.
The Nike LeBron 22 Frozen Grapes will release on April 1, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $180.
