As the popularity of the WNBA and women's basketball skyrockets, Nike and other footwear brands are recognizing the untapped potential of women as signature athletes. Leading the charge is Nike, which has just announced the release of a signature sneaker for one of the greatest WNBA players of all time, A'ja Wilson, in 2025. Alongside her performance A'One sneaker, Wilson is set to debut her colorway of the Nike Calm Slide. Kicks Finder first reported news of this collaboration.
A'ja Wilson's Nike Calm Slide Hyper Pink features a vibrant and dynamic color palette. The upper features a pearlized pink finish to match the vibe of her upcoming A'One Pink A'ura. Aside from this, the rest of the upper remains untouched as a debossed Nike logo is present on the forefoot and the textured footbed.
Unique to this A'ja Wilson slide is her signature Nike logo in black on the heel, the same one found on her new performance basketball model. Finally, the look is complete with a marbled pink, white, and black rubber outsole.
The A'ja Wilson x Nike Calm Slide Hyper Pink W will release in May 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. In women’s sizing, the retail price is $55.
