Vintage and thrifted fashion has always been a part of the industry, however, this aesthetic and style have become a major trend with many brands crafting apparel and sneakers that look worn-in or aged straight from the box. Plenty of brands have emerged that focus on vintage pieces but not many can say they’ve reached the level of 194 Local, a vintage shop in East London, that was founded in 2018 and has become a go-to spot for celebrities looking to rock vintage gear. On top of their collaborative efforts with Levi’s and others in the fashion world, the small team at 194 Local has helped craft an upcoming pack of Reebok Beatnik colorways.
Coming covered in faux fur across the front half of the sneaker, suede overlays wrap around the edge of the upper and sole as well as throughout the midfoot and heel. Across the two colorways (“Camel” and “Black”) we see tonal shades covering the two main materials previously mentioned while neoprene and shearling come in contrasting shades of white on the black pair and a tonal tan shade on the neoprene of the Camel colorway. Leather does make an appearance on the spine of the forefoot and takes on yet another tonal shade matching each respective colorway while the design comes rounded out by a black midsole and outsole on the Camel pair and a brownish-black combo on the Black pair.
The 194 Local x Reebok Beatnik Pack is set to release on March 4th, 2023 through 194local.com and the brand's London and LA locations. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
