Earlier this year, photographer Cam Hicks teamed up with Reebok to launch his colorway of the Reebok BB 4000 II. However, the duo have more up their sleeves. Now, Hicks is tackling the moccasin version of the cult classic Reebok Beatnik.
Splitting the upper’s material makeup, Hicks adds pony hair, mohair, and suede across the design. We see the lateral side taken over by dark brown ponyhair while the medial side is constructed from light brown mohair material. Lining the edge of the upper and sole unit is a brown suede panel, passing by the Reebok Vector logo on the midfoot and ending at the heel. Pops of sky blue land on the pull tab on the heel, the sockliner, and the text on the medial side reads, Act like you been there before. Around the collar and heel sits an orange neoprene, while the insole comes with a custom graphic designed by Hicks in a sky-blue hue that matches the sockliner. Rounding out the design is the brown midsole paired with a gum rubber outsole featuring a groove traction pattern.
