A Bathing Ape has continued to release BAPE STA colorways over its two-decade history, though lately, more attention is being drawn to the silhouette thanks to hot collaborations with the likes of Drake’s OVO and more. Bringing us on a nostalgia trip to the days of Skateboard P and Nigo rocking fresh pairs, a pack of OG colorways is returning to the silhouette.
Like many of the classic BAPE STA colorways, the silhouette is covered in patent leather across its AF1-like upper in a collage of complimentary colors. Three colorways comprise the pack, coming in Yellow/Blue/Grey, Yellow/Brown/Green, and Red/White/Grey, all of which switch up the color blocking between the toebox and quarter panel between the two secondary shades. Running up the eyestays is a set of white flat laces, held in place on the bottom by an APE logo and stopping just below a BAPE STA branded tongue tag. Along the midfoot, the star logo borrows the same shade as the rubber midsole below and passes by a debossed APE logo on the heel overlay. Rounding out the design for all three colorways is a white rubber outsole.
The A Bathing Ape BAPE STA OG Colorway Pack is set to release on September 10th, 2022 through BAPE online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
