A Bathing Ape's BAPE STA is, no doubt, one of the most controversial sneakers of all time. First released in 2000 in a selection of patent-covered colorways, the silhouette was infamous in that it was an almost one-to-one remake of the Nike Air Force 1. In the years following, Nigo's version of the AF1 grew a large cult following. In fact, hype surrounding the model continues to reach new heights even after two decades, and it's largely because of collections like the A Bathing Ape BAPE STA "Snakeskin" Pack.
Freshly revealed for Fall, these BAPE sneakers come in two colorways, including one with "Beige" snakeskin and the other with "Grey." Working on top of a crisp white base, the faux reptilian pattern wraps around the upper with a realistic texture that offers a premium look and feel. The Japanese streetwear label's legendary Shooting Star glides through the lateral and medial side panels, while the BAPE STA logo adorns the tongue tag and heel badge. This sits on top of a slick midsole, and of course, you can't talk about this release without mentioning the iconic Ape Head dubrae that's finished off in a metallic silver.
The A Bathing Ape BAPE STA Snakeskin Beige and A Bathing Ape BAPE STA Snakeskin Grey are set to release on November 5th, 2022. It will drop at A Bathing Ape and select BAPE retailers both online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail has yet TBA.
