First teased in 2021, though originally thought to be a Yeezy model, the adidas adiFOM Q drummed up plenty of controversy in the sneaker world as it continues to draw comparisons to the Yeezy Foam RNNR, however, The Three Stripes will be continuing to push out the archival-inspired sneaker going forward. On top of an early drop of the Cosmic Ways Runners Pack, the model has just appeared in “Legend Ink.”
Keeping its two-part Primeknit and foam construction, the model takes on a two-tone color scheme of legend ink throughout the exoskeleton while aluminum shades covered the neoprene, lace set, and Primeknit inner portion. Organically shaped cutouts work like waves across the profile of the model and stop just before the Trefoil-laden heel counter while the eyestays that host the aforementioned laces keep the internal and external parts together. Attached to the inside portion of the model is an adiPLUS cushioning system that plugs into a cutout along the outsole, meaning you can remove it and swap out different colors between pairs if you own multiple colorways.
The adidas adiFOM Q Legend Ink has seen a small release through select retailers with a wider launch planned for 2023 through adidas. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
