The iconic adidas Stan Smith is getting another radical transformation. This time, it's in the form of the adidas adiFOM SST Boot, a boot fitting in well with the trend of foam-based footwear. Other recent foam-based redesigns from adidas include the adiFOM Stan Smith Mule and the infamous adiFOM Q.
The adidas adiFOM SST Boot features an all-over foam construction, and it looks a lot like a rain boot you'd spot in the gardening section of Home Depot. The boot sports a "shell toe" design at the toe, while the rest of the upper come in a matte finish. All of the colorways revealed so far take on monochromatic finishes. Branding details on the new silhouette include the adidas' Trefoil logo on the lateral collar. A chunky foam midsole and outsole mirror the color of the upper.
The adidas adiFOM SST Boot (W) is already available through select retailers, with an official U.S. release set for August 15 via adidas. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
