Anthony Edwards and adidas dropped what many will argue is the sneaker of the year as the AE 1 has transcended the basketball court. After the success of the original AE 1, adidas introduced a low-top version in the summer of 2024, with this variant now leading the charge in terms of releases. After getting looks at the Bowling Pack and Iron Sharpens Iron renditions, a new Blue Burst colorway has appeared on the AE 1 Low.
Though not as vibrant blue as the Velocity Blue colorway, this AE 1 Low comes with the standard Primeblue and TPU construction. Black Primeblue knit makes up the vamp, eyestay, collar, and heel portions, while a neoprene tongue continues this black hue. The generative support wing on the midfoot, a giant honeycomb TPU panel, takes on a metallic blue hue, covering the sneaker's entire profile. Other blue hits are found via the toecap, Three Stripes on the faux carbon fiber heel counter, and the Anthony Edwards branding along the tongue's pull tab. Finishing the design is a LIGHTBOOST and LIGHTSTRIKE cushioned midsole paired with a tonal outsole.
The adidas AE 1 Low Blue Burst has no confirmed release date but is scheduled to drop during the Holiday 2024 season through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
