Anthony Edwards and adidas crafted one of the hottest signature sneakers on the market with the adidas AE 1. Following the successful launch and rapid sell-out of various colorways, adidas is now introducing a low-top version of the AE 1. Recently spotted in its Mural colorway, the low-top model is set to make a significant impact over the coming months. Following first looks at pairs like the Best of Adi 2.0, the sneaker will be part of a Chinese New Year celebration that honors the Year of the Snake.
The adidas AE 1 Low Year of the Snake brings a fresh and dynamic look to the signature line. The upper features a unique graphic print with faux snakeskin detailing around the edges of the midfoot panel and along the heel, paying homage to the Year of the Snake. The generative support wing, a large TPU panel, comes in an eye-catching iridescent pink finish, adding a vibrant touch to the design.
The tongue sports a purple lace loop with Anthony Edwards' logo in white, along with a metallic silver lace charm featuring Ant's logo. Completing the upper is a faux carbon fiber heel tab adorned with a purple Three Stripes logo. The sneaker sits on a semi-translucent outsole housing a Boost midsole for enhanced comfort and performance.
The adidas AE 1 Low Year of the Snake will release on January 18, 2025, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price of the AE 1 Low is typically $110, though this special edition will likely be priced higher.
