The Timberwolves star and adidas have marketed the adidas AE 1 perfectly with its campaign, causing viral moments on social media while still producing stylish sneakers on and off the court. While we await the release of the Georgia Red Clay colorway, which Ant wore when he posterized John Collins and the MX Charcoal, a new Preloved Purple colorway has emerged.
This new Preloved Purple iteration of the AE 1 utilizes a Primeblue and TPU upper in a preloved purple and black combo. Preloved purple hues grace the honeycomb TPU overlay on the midfoot, which gleams in an iridescent-like hue, harmoniously blending aesthetics with function. This color scheme extends to the Three Stripes branding and the Anthony Edwards logo on the heel and tongue, creating a cohesive and visually striking appearance.
A purple-hued 3M panel adorns the toe box, offering reflective qualities that catch the eye and enhance visibility. The rest of the upper is cloaked in a sleek black, providing a stark contrast that accentuates the pink and purple elements. Underneath, the sneaker is equipped with adidas' cutting-edge Jet Boost and Lightstrike cushioning technologies, ensuring maximum comfort and responsiveness on the court. The ensemble is completed with a pink rubber outsole.
The adidas AE 1 Preloved Purple will release October 5, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
