The adidas Crazy 8, a silhouette once worn by the Kobe Bryant before he decamped for Nike, is set to drop in a slew of colorways for its return this year. On top of the pairs showcased in Utah during NBA All-Star Weekend, the Crazy 8 will drop in a clean “Core Black Cloud White Collegiate Purple.”
This iteration of the adidas Crazy 8 infuses a mix of materials into its upper including nubuck, suede, leather, and mesh. Nubuck panels sit beside patches of white leather on selected areas of the midfoot. Black dominates the mesh tongue and suede panels along the toe and collar, emphasizing the sneaker's sleek aesthetics. The adidas EQT branding rests comfortably on the tongue, while the FYW (Feet You Wear) logo finds a home on the vamp and medial collar. On the heel, a gold and purple Three Stripes logo invokes the Los Angeles Lakers. A black and white EVA foam-cushioned midsole and outsole wrap up the design.
The adidas Crazy 8 Core Black Cloud White Collegiate Purple will release August 26 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. The retail price is yet to be announced.
