This year, the signature sneaker of Milwaukee Bucks superstar point guard Damian Lillard celebrates a decade of partnership with adidas. Recently, the Dame 10 was unveiled and set to launch in the summer of 2025, cementing the path forward for both. But before we get to that, the adidas Dame 9 will have a long run. From a strictly business perspective, Lillard's global popularity has significantly boosted adidas Basketball's market presence.
His shoe line has consistently been a best-seller, with the series becoming a staple in basketball culture. The upper portion of the adidas Dame 9 True Blue showcases layered core black lycra neoprene and woven fabrics. An internal bootie keeps the foot secure when being worn. The lower half of the model is encased in core black synthetic leather, allowing breathability. Three Stripes are seen swiping along the midfoot, colored in white with blue hits on the top portions. The signature D motif appears on the tongue in cobalt blue, along with the mini-EQT logo at the toe. The upper sits atop a Lightstrike midsole with a torsion bar. The midsole fades from black to cobalt blue, while a black rubber outsole for superior grip is used underfoot.
The adidas Dame 9 True Blue is set to release on November 1, 2024. They will be available via adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is $120.
