Since its debut in the latter half of 2023, Donovan Mitchell's 5th signature sneaker with adidas, the adidas D.O.N. Issue 5, has quickly become popular among basketball enthusiasts for its performance capabilities and affordable price point. Known for its wide array of colorways, the D.O.N. Issue 5 continues to make waves in the sneaker community. Around the NBA All-Star Weekend, adidas and Donovan Mitchell are set to release a new and exciting rendition of this model – the White Orange version. This release follows the Asia-exclusive Year of the Dragon colorway.
The adidas D.O.N. Issue 5 White Orange features a crisp white upper constructed from mesh, TPU, and leather, providing durability and breathability. The design is accentuated with striking orange accents on the eyestay and the medial side, where the adidas and Donovan Mitchell text stand out. The toe area is covered with perforated leather for added comfort and ventilation, while the rest of the upper maintains a solid finish.
A distinctive feature is the navy Three Stripes on the midfoot, rising from the orange portion of the sole unit, creating a dynamic contrast. Underneath, the sneaker has a white rubber midsole that encapsulates Lightstrike cushioning, ensuring responsive and lightweight support. This midsole is complemented by a durable gum rubber outsole, providing excellent traction and completing the sneaker's design.
The adidas D.O.N. Issue 5 White Orange will release on February 16, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. It will be available in men’s sizing at $120, GS at $100, and PS at $90.
