In June, adidas and Donovan Mitchell came together to debut the DON Issue 6, the latest signature sneaker in Mitchell’s line. While we just looked at an upcoming Haribo collaboration and the Halloween rendition, Sole Retriever can confirm that Mitchell will get a follow-up sneaker in 2025: The DON Issue 7.
Continuing with the sleek design language we’ve seen from the DON Issue line, the sneaker comes in as a low-cut with a zipper shroud, helping to give it an elegant and fast look. This zipper shroud partially hides the Spida Mitchell logo atop the tongue and covers the standard lace set below. For its base, we see a textile construction with a curved grid pattern applied along the toe and a dot pattern that makes up the curved Three Stripes on the back half. The neoprene bootie is surrounded by mesh and features a pull tab on the heel for easy on-and-off wear. Underfoot, the model features a large TPU shank cradling the foot to provide lateral containment, surrounded by the LIGHTSTRIKE PRO cushioning setup. Rounding out the design is the multi-directional rubber herringbone traction pattern.
The adidas DON Issue 7 will debut on July 19, 2025, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store with the Camp colorway. This pair pays homage to the DON Issue 6 Camp with its gradient fade upper and will launch alongside Donovan’s Elite Camp. More colorways will launch throughout the second half of 2025.
